Students may participate in an Alaskan snowstorm. Cindy Lou shares her passion of photography through her slide show. Cindy Lou, a nationally recognized teacher, brings to life stories of her twenty plus years of teaching in Alaska. As an author, photographer, teacher and one who loves good health, Cindy encourages students to get outside and play. Assemblies are for grades K-2 (45 minutes) and grades 3-6 (60 minutes). In addition, classroom visits may follow assemblies for question and answer sessions. Q & A typically last 30 minutes and are limited to 60 students at one time to keep the dialogue as personal as possible. After more than two decades of teaching in Alaska, Cindy Lou is turning in her whistle and gym shoes at the end of May 2007. She is now booking school presentations for the 2007-2008 school year. “
Your
presentation was informative and entertaining, and our students enjoyed
it
tremendously. The
slides of winter in Praise from GermanyCindy Aillaud visited Wuerzburg American Elementary School in Wuerzburg, Germany on June 4, 2007. She shared her book, Recess At 20 Below. I attended her presentation to a group of fifty students in grades three to five.Cindy had them eating out of her hand, even the fifth graders! Her enthusiasm came through as she read her book and her husband showed slides of the pictures that are in the book. Cindy immediately connected with some students who have lived with their military family in Alaska. As she read, she included antidotes about the child in the picture or why she included a point in the story. Cindy’s humor was laced throughout her presentation. She finished her presentation with a test! Cindy dressed a volunteer as the audience told her the steps to follow when dressing for recess at 20 below! I would highly recommend Cindy Aillaud as a guest author for schools.
